FIRST FLUSH Darjeeling

This tea has won the Taste of the West Gold Award  2016

This Organic Fine Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe (ftgfop1) top grade First Flush single garden tea offers a classic light Darjeeling subtle, sweet leafiness. The finish is long, and one can detect a slightly honey note when brewed just right.

      

SECOND FLUSH Darjeeling

     This tea won the Taste of the West Silver Award  2015

This Second flush tea is picked from late May/early June, when the tea plants have come back more vigorous, until the end of the season in late September. With a light floral aroma, reminiscent of roses and daphne, this Organic ftgfop1 Second Flush tea is a delight at any time of day. On the palate there is a light dryness, and the warming muscatel notes come through with longer brewing.

     

                        

WHITE TEA Darjeeling

This tea won the Taste of the West Gold Award  2017

Comprising only the newest buds and youngest leaves, our Organic White Tea is carefully selected from a single garden above 4,000 feet above sea level.  It is minimally fermented, and then pan-fired, to give the delicacy of the nose.  With hints of apples and pears, it balances the light dryness on the palate, and the leafy after-taste lives long in the mouth.

First Flush 100% Organic Tea from Sikkim

This tea was added to the range in 2018 and won the Taste of the West Silver Award the same year.

BREWING INSTRUCTIONS

All the teas selected are all very high in Anti-oxidants, 

and low in Tannic acid. 

For best results

Boil the water, let stand for a few minutes. 

Add the hot water to the pot at about 70 degrees C.   

Add one level teaspoonful of tea per cup of water added to the pot,
steep for about 6 minutes.  

Strain the tea into cup, and enjoy the subtle flavour,
best appreciated in the purest form.

Take care not to over-brew, or to use too much tea, to get the best flavour!

The tea is available in pouches of 50g, 100g and 250g,
and in caddies of 50g
